A. D. Tarbox first started writing as a child and entered her first writing contest when she was 12. Her name is in this 1982 Ranger Rick nature magazine as one of the winners. She has loved writing about and filming animals ever since.

A. D. Tarbox's mother holding Sunshine, an orphaned raccoon her family raised when she was young. She gets her love for helping wildlife and animals from both her parents.

A. D. Tarbox funded her college education with an athletic scholarship for track (she was a sprinter) and by doing promotional and print modeling in Japan. Here she is on the Japanese show Super Jockey, filmed inside a Tokyo studio.

ALREADY ASLEEP, ISBN 0-9766805-6-4 ISBN 978-0-9766805-6-7. ALREADY ASLEEP is A. D. Tarbox's first picture book. It was published in hardback in 2006 by New York publisher, Moo Press.

RICHARD WAYBRIGHT AND THE MASON DIXON FARM was the first film A. D. Tarbox directed. It was completed in February of 2008 and aired on ACTV.

This dolphin's name is Stormy. A. D. swam with him in the Carribean. When A. D. is not filming or writing some of the things she enjoys are playing the electric guitar, scuba diving, triathlons, eco-tourism, martial arts, kayaking, hiking, boating and building and flying experimental airplanes.
