Already Asleep was Dru's first picture book. She wrote it under pen name A. D. Tarbox.
Richard Waybright and the Mason Dixon Farm was the first film Dru directed. It aired on ACTV and was sold by the TV station on DVD.
Dru first started writing stories as a child. Her name is in this Ranger Rick nature magazine as one of the winners.
Dru funded her college education with an athletic scholarship and doing print and promotional modeling. Here she is on the Japanese show Super Jockey filmed inside a Tokyo studio.

Dru Hunter is part Native American, Spanish, Cuban, Puerto Rican, African, Scottish and French. She likes to write themes and characters based on some of her ancestry. In Native American culture a name is earned and bestows certain powers, responsiblities and reflects who you are. The Wild Horse is a Native American symbol of messenger, strength and freedom, it is the name of Dru's film production company, Wild Mustang Productions.
