MARY'S WOODS Co-Writer, Richard LewisJune 26, 2010
I just finished the revisions to the Mary's Woods screenplay and sent them to Richard Lewis, a filmmaker who has several National Geographic and PBS films to his credit. Richard teaches screenwriting at the University of Texas Austin, a top ten film school, and is writing the Mary's Woods documentary script with me.

I am in post production on two films but I have started production on my first suspenseful, horror, full length feature film called GAD. GAD has two meanings and they both apply to the film. A gad is a wanderer or drifter and it is also a blunt instrument used for breaking up rock. (more…)

Sugar Spice Short Tail, a children's film sponsored by Hershey's Ice Cream, based on one of my children's books in progress, got into the Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival and will show in Santa Monica, California in October!

I finished all the sketches for the CAPTAIN OF THE DRAGON YA novel today and sent them to the editor. I illustrated in a style I imagined the character James Navarro, a teenaged physician's son, would draw them in his journal. I drew 35 sketches. Book should be released by the publisher this summer.

Today is Valentine's Day and I got up this morning and went through some bat footage that the MARY'S WOODS film editor is going to edit. I love bats. On Friday, filmed at a cave with a bat biologist where the endangered Indiana bat hibernates. There are only about 1,000 of the endangered Indiana bats (more…)

I just got back all the editor's edits to CAPTAIN OF THE DRAGON and I am going through them. This is standard for all books. So far I only see what I would call minor changes in a sentence here and there. I am also finishing up sketches for the novel. I meet with (more…)
